Two Club events in the coming weeks....
The Whiteshell Cross Country Ski Club (WCCSC) is a 100% volunteer driven organization and has been active for over 50 years. The area within and surrounding Pinawa is blessed with some of the best cross-county ski trails and this is thanks to the tremendous effort and commitment of past and current volunteers. All programs, events, club management, infrastructure, trail work, and maintenance is undertaken by volunteers in their spare time.
We are always looking for individuals who are interested in becoming involved in supporting the WCCSC with their time and/or talents by volunteering. Please contact whiteshellskiclub@gmail.com for more information.
Donations support the maintenance and grooming of our trails as well as the WCCSC's overall club work.
If you would like to make a donation to support our club, please send an e-transfer to: whiteshellskiclub@gmail.com
The WCCSC has also created an Endowment Fund with the Pinawa Foundation. Contributions are added to the capital in the Fund, from which the Ski Club receives an annual disbursement of around 4% of the capital. As of November 2024, the amount in the Fund is over $11,000.
The Endowment Fund offers two significant benefits:
For people who give to the Pinawa Foundation, they can direct all or part of their donation specifically to the Ski Club.
Secondly, a tax receipt is issued for any donation over $20.
Please contact whiteshellskiclub@gmail.com with any questions. To make a contribution to this fund, please contact the Pinawa Foundation.
A portion of our trail system uses the Pinawa Club's golf course. We encourage you to check out the Pinawa Club Restaurant for your post-skiing drinks and meals. Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed in the Pinawa Club.
Please note that the Pinawa Golf Course would like to remind you to stay off of the Greens, Tee blocks and Sand traps on the golf course trail. Please ski only on the groomed trails. Thank-you.
