  • Warming Huts The Whiteshell Ski Club maintains warming huts located on the Red, Orange and English River Trails. Skiers may use them at their own discretion. The Club charges no fees, takes no bookings, and assumes no responsibility for the safety and well-being of the users. Users should be self-sufficient and be prepared to handle any eventuality (for example, lack of firewood, injuries, accidents, poor signal strength for cell phones, and the possibility of sharing the premises with others.) Donations help our non-profit, volunteer group to cover the cost of maintaining the trail network and the warming huts. For assistance in an emergency, call 911.

Trail Conditions

  • Feb 27 - Red Skate Trail The Red Skate trail has been renovated. There is the odd exposed rock, so caution is advised. The lack of snow depth prevents the classic track from being set at present.

  • Feb 26 - R & P Skate Trail The Racers and Pacers Skate Trail was renovated today with good results. Not enough usable snow depth to set a classic track.

  • Feb 23 - Trails Closed Many of the trails are in very poor condition, with exposed rocks, grass, mud and forest litter on trails, with icy tracks in the remaining locations. This includes the Golf Course trails. Until a major snowfall there is not enough available snow to do much. Please consider the trails closed to normal traffic, and certainly avoid any and all exposed and minimally covered grassed areas on the Golf Course. Further information is being posted here as conditions improve.

And we say 'Thank You' to them for doing so!
